Public School 125th Anniversary
On the long weekend in October,
Werris Creek Public School will be celebrating 125 years of Public
Education.
This weekend will be packed with a
variety of activities and entertainment.
There will be a street parade on
the Saturday morning followed by a formal ceremony at the school. The
school
will host a market with stalls, souvenirs, bands and food will also be
available.There
will be historical and contemporary displays. These will include old
photographs,
old teaching and learning equipment and multimedia presentations
running
throughout the day. On Saturday night there will be a function at the
Bowling and
Tennis Club for all visitors to catch up. There will be live music and
meals will
be available.
Everyone is invited to attend
the festivities. We hope people will pass on the details to other
interested
parties including ex-students and people with a tie to the community.
